Here are some pictures of the engine access panels.
The panel shape was first drawn on the side of the tank, and the exhaust exit hole positions were determined by careful measurements.
The panel was cut on our foot shear and shapped on the English wheel.
Then the opening was cut out with an air powered nibbler.
The headers were installed and measurements were checked again to make sure the holes were cut in the correct places.
In this picture, the panel is just sitting on the body, and I will install Dzus fasteners to hold this panel in place.
After installing the fasteners, I cut louvers in the panels.
These louvers will help to cool the engine and they also look good.
